Bob Milne is
considered one of the world’s greatest Ragtime
Piano players; the U.S
Library of Congress refers to him as a “national
treasure.” His concert tours take him
all over the globe, to small, vintage opera houses and to large, prestigious
concert halls. Having earned a music
degree in French Horn Performance at the Eastman
School of Music, he taught himself to play piano totally
by ear. After a 25-year career as the
“busiest saloon piano player” in the business, he naturally progressed to the
concert stage, sharing his love of music with audiences of all kinds and
averaging 250 performances per year. In addition to recording over a dozen CDs, Bob Milne has published two books
and a collection of music portfolios. He has been featured in several video
productions, including the Library of Congress
Oral History Archives. In
the Toledo area, he may be best remembered for his years of performing at the
Real Seafood Company in
the former Portside Festival Marketplace,
or cruising along the Maumee River aboard the Arrah
Wanna Princess. He
was also a frequent guest at the former Ragtime
Rick’s First Draught. Bob Milne will
appear at GRUGELFEST 2012 during
the Friday night and Sunday afternoon sessions. For more information, check out his
