In 2010 Robin Hopkins and Kathleen Miller, veteran Indiana entertainers, co-founded a new traditional Dixieland group - The Sunset Stomp Jazz Band - named after the often-overlooked Louis Armstrong tune, The Sunset Café Stomp. The band has taken the jazz community by storm, playing at venues across the state, and are featured regularly at the Jazz Kitchen in Indianapolis.

Whether the audience is filled with young, lindy-hopping steppers, west-coast swingers, or even seasoned Hot Jazz listeners, this band delights one and all. They were invited to perform for the Central Illinois Jazz Festival this past February, and are returning for the Jazz # 38 event in February, 2013.

Robin and Kathleen have been making music together for nearly 24 years and are not strangers to Toledo. They have brought The Hopkins and Miller Show (their Great American Songbook show) to the area on numerous occasions, performing at the Stranahan Theater (for Mary’s Enterprises), at the former Zenobia Temple in downtown Toledo, and at Ragtime Rick’s First Draught.
