The Local Girls’ popularity is anything but local; their tight three-part harmony and engaging delivery has won them fans across the Midwest, and even in the White House!  Along with hot and vampy swing tunes of the 1930s and 40s, like those of the Boswell Sisters and the Jimmy Lunceford Trio, they regularly perform their own arrangements of pop, ballads, blues, and standards.

Covering a century of American songwriting, The Local Girls create a warm and varied musical event, bringing good humor and haunting harmonies to songs from the silly to the heartbreaking.  Transcending nostalgia, they delight lovers of live and livelymusic.  The Local Girls will be featured at GRUGELFEST 2015 on Saturday night and Sunday afternoon.
